AMENDMENTS TO BYLAWS
- Amendments to these Bylaws may be petitioned by at least three (3)
Component Associations to the Bylaws Committee or proposed by two-thirds majority vote of
the Board of Directors. Upon review of the amendment to the Bylaws by the Bylaws
Committee, the Secretary General shall circulate the proposed amendments to all Component
Associations, the Board of Directors, and the Board of Trustees at least thirty (30) days
before the next regular meeting of the Assembly of Delegates and along with the
recommendations of the Bylaws Committee. This may include the recommendations of the Board
of Directors on the proposed amendments.
- A proposed amendment shall be voted on the Assembly of Delegates.
To be approved, a proposed amendment requires affirmative two-thirds majority vote of the
delegates.
- The Bylaws Committee must be given thirty (30) days to respond the
petitions. Bylaws Committee's recommendation will be in the direction of ``Acceptance'' or
``Rejection'' of the petition with justification(s). The Bylaws Committee may also include
amendments to the original petition as part of its recommendation.
