Im Oktober 1917, während des Ersten Weltkrieges besuchte Kaiser Wilhelm der II Istanbul. (offiziell bis 1930 “Konstantinopel”)
In dem Filmclip sehen wir die Ankunft Wilhelms am Bahnhof im Stadtteil Sirekci, eine Bosporusfahrt in einer venezianisch anmutenden Gondel, den Besuch bei der türkischen Marine mit anschließender Parade an der Galatabrücke.

In october 1917, during World War One the German Kaiser Wilhelm II visits his Turkish allies in Istanbul (officially called Konstantinopel until 1930). In this clip, we can see the Sultan giving Wilhelm a warm welcome at Sirkeci Main Station, followed by a Bosporus cruise in a small barge, a visit to a turkish military ship, and finally a street parade at old Galata bridge.
