Benim bu konudaki kitaplarım (verilen linklerdeki tarihlere bakın) bazıları ON YILDIR İNTERNETTE BEDAVAYA okumak ve download için açık büfede duruyor. Ermeni diyasporası okuyor da işlerine gelmeyen alıntılar için Ermeni yazarları sıkıştırıyor, bizde ise “herkes anında mütalaa ile, okumadan ve öğrenmeye gerek görmeden” sıyrılıveriyor .
Bu kitapların ancak bazılarını Bakanlık az miktardada olsa satın almıştır . nerelere dagitildiklarini bilmiorum doğrusu..“The Geocide of Truth” Ticaret Universitesi tarafından 600 adet on yıl evvel verilen adreslere göre Elçilik ve Konsolosluklara HEDİYE yollanmıştı. Bu kitabın ansiklopedik olduğunu ancak şimdi anlıyorum.
Bu Çok acil durumda bu işe bakacak arkadaşların çok acele olarak İnternetten en son kitabımı

Ben birkaç ay sonra bu arenadan çekiliyorum, kitapların bir kısmı yakılacak büyük kısmı ise Marmara Universitesine hediye edilecektir. Bir piza dilimi parasına kıyacakların… adreslerine adi posta ile yollarım, Amerikaa’da Sevgin beye ödemeyi “istediğiniz vakit” yaparsınız.

A piece of legislation in the General Assembly of Connecticut. Numbered SB 452, this bill is entitled “An act concerning the inclusion of Holocaust and genocide education and awareness in the social studies curriculum”. Please find it attached.
It was introduced and referred to the Committee on Education very recently. There was a public hearing on March 14, and sne-taca President Hikmet Arslan was kind enough to attend. He reported that there was quite a bit of attendance from the Jewish community, including students and regional representative of ADL at the hearing. Although it didn’t seem like the Armenian community was involved, one speaker apparently stated “there were 6 genocides in the 20th century” and counted the Armenian case as one.
there was a remark in the testimony of Commissioner Dianna R. Wentzell of Department of Education that reads “We would ask however that the language is broadened to specifically contain all 20th century genocides including the Armenian, Rwandan and Cambodian Genocides.”. But ofcourse no mention of Bosnian Holocast from the floor.

Today, we learned that the SB 452 had been voted out of the Committee. As the clerk office was closed we were unable to verify when the action is planned. However, in our previous conversations, we were told that the only way to suggest a change/make an amendment was through a Legislator. We are also told to go to the sponsors of the Bill for any proposed changes could be useful. However, this does not exclude the involvement of other legislators.Please notice the testimony of CABE (Connecticut Association of Boards of Education) which represents nearly all boards of education across Connecticut. They oppose SB 452 because they are objecting the insertion of specific items in the existing curriculum mandate.

We believe it is necessary to act against SB452. Yet, as the support from Jewish community is remarkably eye-catching, we better focus on deleting “and genocide” part, instead of attacking the bill overall. This action could be carried at several levels:
1) Submitting testimonies: The Education Committee staff mentioned that they could still accept testimonies.
2) Engaging a legislator: He/she might propose a change with a view to deleting the words “and genocide” in the bill.
3) Writing letters: The speakers of the Senate and the House should know that the Turkish-Americans are concerned about this imposition on the curriculum. I am seeking appointments with them.
