ITU health care centers on Ayazaga and Macka Campuses provide services which include walk-in clinics, dental service, laboratories, minorsurgery units, EKGs, X-rays, an ophthamology clinic, an observation room, first aid, and administration services.
All students receive free medical services at the health care centers received by physicians. There is an ambulance for emergency cases. Urgent and serious cases are transferred to public hospitals for treatment with the cost of this treatment met by the university.
ITU Sports Club was founded in 1953. this club became the university's representative in the sports arena as members began to tally a number of athletic triumhs both nationally and internationally, especially in basketball. The ITU Team is the only university team currently playing in Turkey's major basketball league.
ITU Athletic Association was founded in 1977. This organization is responsible for overseeing the university's athletic events and for selecting those who will play on university teams.
Maslak Athletic Center on Ayazaga Campus and others on Gumussuyu Capus, there are two main sports centers. The following sports facilities are currently functioning within the university:
University sports facilities are open everday between 9 a.m. to midnight and serve both ITU students and faculty members.
All ITU Clubs are organized within two major associations:
the ITU Athletic Association and the ITU Culture and Arts Association.
Clubs included in the Athletic Association are the Aviation, Chess, Underwater, and Bridge Clubs while all the professional clubs and the Computer, Cinema, TV-Video, Library, and Publications, Music, Photography, Computer Aided Design, Envrimental Engineering, Foreign Languages, Construction and Architectural Activities, and Plastic Art Clubs are included within the auspices of the ITU Culture and Arts Association.
ITU Day Care Centers are located on Ayazaga and Macka Campuses and serve children from ages 0-6 years. The centers also provide after-school study halls for eligible children of elementary school age.
