Petition Against Six Denialist Corporations

It has come to light that, contrary to their public statements of being good corporate citizens and champions of human rights, six American and British mega-corporations have been secretly lobbying the United States Congress not to recognize the Armenian Genocide.

In the American system, it is customary for corporations to lobby Congress only on taxes and trade rules related to their specific businesses. It is however highly unusual and downright shameful for corporations to do the bidding of their foreign clients.

BAE Systems Inc., Goodrich Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp., Raytheon Co., United Technologies Corp. and energy producer Chevron Corp are spending over a million dollars a week to lobby Congress.

The world-wide Armenian community cannot match this level of expenditure. We can however raise our righteous voice by signing the petition below. The collected signatures will be hand delivered and emailed to the corporate heads and key stockholders of these companies.

    PERITION: STOP LOBBYING AGAINST ARMENIAN GENOCIDE RECOGNITION

    TO: CEOs and Shareholders of BAE Systems Inc., Goodrich Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp., Raytheon Co., United Technologies Corp. and Chevron Corp.

    We the undersigned strongly urge you to re-evaluate your commitment to lobby Congress of the United States against the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

    The majority of historians assert that up to 1.5 million innocent Christian Armenian men, women, and children were brutally massacred by Ottoman Turks under the cover of World War I.

    According to the International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS), denial of the Armenian Genocide has emboldened all the genocides perpetrated during the past century.

    President Ronald Reagan recognized the truth when on April 22, 1981, he stated: “Like the Genocide of the Armenians before it, and the genocide of the Cambodians which followed it […] the lessons of the holocaust must never be forgotten.

    And on January 19, 2008, Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama stated: “The Armenian Genocide is not an allegation, a personal opinion, or a point of view, but rather a widely documented fact supported by an overwhelming body of historical evidence.”

    We therefore urge you to cease and desist from covering up mass murder and wholesale looting. It is America that must dictate truth to Turkey, as opposed to Turkey dictating lies to America.

    Reclaim the higher ground again by acting like “good corporate citizens.”

    Recognition can be delayed but will not be denied. Do not end up on the wrong side of history.

    We the undersigned understand why there is no need for you to re-evaluate your current commitment, as we are 100% certain (just as you are) that:

    The majority of historians agree that the era from 1915 was a very dark era for humankind and a commision of scholars and historians should be formed to conduct unbiased research and history should oly be written by historians. Not politicians.

    Those same historians also agree that the Armenians Dashnak gangs were higly trained in acts of espionage, urban terrorism and were armed to he teeth by Russian and Greek authorities. That those same Dashnak gangs attacked and killed unarmed woman and children, and attacked Ottoman supply lines. They attacked the state which they were citizens.

    The International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS), are all schollars who are funded by the Armenian Diaspora themselves. The only way one can join this elite group of scholars is to accept the so called “Genocide” took place and enjoy funding from the Diaspora. What happenned to freedom of choice? What happenned to innocent until found guilty?

    Bruce Fein, Advisor to Pres Ronald Reagan said “The allogations of an Armenian Genocide are completely fabricated and is only in the US Congress due to political pressure asserted by the Armenian Lobbyists”

    Barack Obama said what ever he needed to to ensure he had as many votes as possible to ensure he was victorius in his campaign. When he vistied Turkey, Obama stated the issue should be resolved via unbiased hitorical research and prided Turkey for leading such an initiative, Obama also urged Armenia to reach out and grab the olive branch which the Turks had held out.

    We the undersigned understand the billions of dollars Turkey’s business puts into the Global Economy. We also understand the role Turkey plays in the UN Security Council, we also understand the role Turkey plays in Middle East stability. We the undersigned understand the addition to stability in Afghanistan in which Turkey is in charge. We understand the role Turkey’s Navy plays in against the Somalian Pirates.

    We are very proud of you. You go with our blessing!

    The only thing that matters is ECONOMICAL ADVANTAGE. What makes the world go round?
    Armenia is worthless to the rest of the world. What everybody cares about is MONEY.
    As you can see, corporations, governments and people all over the globe are seeing you for what you are. —- L I A R S ! ! !

    When you the Dashnak Armenian is going ahead with the entire Armenian Genocide Lie, just becuase of the financial advantage it gives you. Many people are aware of the financial gains you and your lying Genocide BS artists make in the US and Europe. For you, its not something you want to win, but something you want to draw out as long as possible. This way you will keep making money.
    Had you wanted this to end, you would push with all your political lobying might to have the issue heard in an international court. You dont becuase you know you will lose, and most importantly the CHRISTIAN WORLD will cease donations to your cause, fuelled by your lies…
    But the truth hurts doesnt it… Armenia is worthless to the entire world!
