Robert Dunn, an ex-lieutenant US Navy was an Aids for Intelligence to the US Commission in Turkey in 1919-1921.

Dunn shows Mustafa Kemal as a highly determined Turkish Officer not to accept the situation set by the Treaty of Sevres. With the National Struggle Movement, Turkey had already gained some of their points notably the return of Istanbul and Thrace to Turkish rule.
