So you’re agreeing with political decision of the French President Sarkozy and bunch of paid pipers who acted for the interest of Armenian diaspora in France: by saying
“…It has to be up to societies — not to others — to have a decision taken based on a political calendar. To me, that’s dishonest.”
OK, thanks by supporting us on this one Mr. Sassounian. BTW, Turkey and Turks are ready to clean up the land from undocumented Armenians to open room for the people like Mr. Bryza any time any soon. You are not up for communicating with the Turks but you’re an agitator. I guess this is the blood lines for the Armenian Diaspora’s survival in the US. -
Mok10501 or whoever you are, I usually do not correspond with people who hide their names. Nevertheless, I decided to write in order to set the record straight because you seem to have intentionally or unintentionally misconstrued my words. The quoted statement in your first paragraph belongs to the Turkophile Bryza, not to me. Sarkozy made a decision on supporting the genocide law based on truth and principle, not politics. Do you think the President of a major country like France is going to jeopardize billions of dollars of trade with Turkey and antagonize the Turks for a handful of votes from Armenians, out of the tens of millions of votes that the French people will cast next April? I hope you don’t believe the lie about 500,000 Armenian voters in France. There aren’t that many Armenians in France and most of them are not voting age and many of them are recent immigrants who cannot vote. Furthermore, the Armenian National Committee of France has endorsed Sarkozy’s rival Francois Hollande for the Presidency. So most French Armenians will probably vote for Hollande rather than Sarkozy. So do not believe everything you read in the media, especially what you read in the Turkish media.
Regarding your second paragraph, you should be ashamed for writing making such an ugly statement. You are just confirming that Armenians were victims of a genocide in 1915 and you are willing to repeat that crime in 2012! -
In these times it takes courage to say, “It’s not the business of any politician in any country to characterize these events as genocide or not as genocide.”
Wellcome to Turkey Mr. Bryza. “Veritas Vincit Omnia.”
