Walking Around Istanbul

Istanbul, situated on both banks of the Bosphorus, is, therefore, European and Asian cities at once, by which the Black Sea water flowing into the Mediterranean through the Bosporus, the Sea of Marmara and the Dardanelles. The uniqueness of the geographical location of Istanbul can be described thus: This is the nearest Asian city to Europe and the nearest European city to Asia.

For the first time in this city I visited in February 2009. Despite a rather nasty weather (about 5 and almost incessant drizzling rain), the city I fell in love almost immediately and probably forever. Getting to Istanbul is possible by Aeroflot and Turkish Airlines, the cost is relatively the same, it all depends on dates, I have twice flown by the Turks. The road from the historic center to the airport SAW took us exactly two hours, and it had terrible traffic jams on the unbearable heat.
