Sixteen hundred thousand square kilometer land of the Eastern Turkistan is under the Suzerienty of China. The Turkish speaking nations and gereral Islamic countries need rise a movement for their independence. It is own matter and need not make any power involve in that.
As far as Nobel prizes are concerned those are awarded by the west often for the doing well for their interests and if interests are contrary even one be the best man/woman is labelled with some mis-conduct label.

“Xinjiang and the Plight of Uyghurs”??
The title of the lecture shows acceptance of the statu-quo that the Chinese imposed on East Turkestan.
Xinjiang means New colony in Chinese. Whereas the name of the country is East Turkestan.
The Chinese also modified the name of Tibet as : Xizang. How come nobody in the world accepts that name but when it comes to East Turkestan they change?
The suffering people are not only the Uyghurs but the whole Turkic people of East Turkestan.
Surrendering to the status-quo’s of the oppressors will reduce national causes to unreconizable levels. Just look at PLO.
